Fire Ban in effect!!

Due to ongoing very dry conditions, very warm weather and gusty winds, the Fire Hazard is now Extreme. As a result, open burning is not allowed within the borders of the MD # 133 of Spirit River, Effective Immediately.

Please exercise caution when conducting any activities in dry cured fuels.

No campfires (or other open fires) are allowed in campgrounds, residential fire pits or random camping areas. This includes charcoal briquettes.

Gas or propane stoves / barbeques and portable propane fire pits are allowed. Fires contained within industrial processes are allowed.

All existing controlled burns and fireworks permits are suspended or cancelled, and no new permits will be issued until conditions improve.

This Fire Ban will remain in place until conditions improve. Fire danger levels are reviewed daily. The Fire Ban will be downgraded when conditions improve.

If you see a wildfire, report it immediately by calling 9-1-1 or 310-FIRE

Please contact the MD Administration office (780) 864-3500, if you have any questions about this ban.
